Laboratorios Eurochem, s.a. was set up in July 1995 by a group of businessmen with over 25 years’ experience in the chemical product manufacturing sector. Its business is the manufacture of chemical products for industrial cleaning, the sale of tools, machinery and accessories, and provision of related services.

The Laboratorios Eurochem, s.a. policy on quality and the environment is to aim, through quality, service and respect for the environment, to cover or exceed its clients’ expectations by establishing a programme on quality and the environment. To do this, the management relies on the people who are part of the company, providing them with the resources, training, motivation and support they require.

Laboratorios Eurochem, s.a. bases its policy on quality and the environment on the following points:

• Quality is a key factor in the company’s survival and should be taken on board, responsibly, by all its members.

• It is of primary importance to obtain client loyalty by fulfilling the commitments we make, dealing with clients professionally and offering them a competitive product in terms of quality, price and deadlines.

• Providing the company with a workforce comprised of professionals who are qualified in the various activities carried out and aware of the need for quality and respect for the environment in all the work they do.

• Aiming on a permanent basis for improvement of its organization, creating a climate which is favourable for promoting quality within the company, making the most of the effort made and responsibilities taken on by all its people.

• The company management and all its workers are committed to preventing pollution.

• Complying with the Legislation and Regulations which apply and with other requirements taken on board by the organization. As a response to company policy, in 2002, Laboratorios Eurochem, s.a. certified its quality and environmental systems.

In june 2002, Laboratorios Eurochem, s.a. certified its quality system in accordance with the ISO 9001 reference and the company decided to take on two major projects, certification of the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001, obtained in December that year, and the development of two products for obtaining the European eco-label.

To do so, it applied to the Development Agency for a grant in the R+D area and signed a co-operation agreement with the University of Valladolid.

The result was the granting of the eco-label in March 2004.
